CanoTein™ Rapeseed Protein
Prevalent variants of Rapeseed plants are commonly known as Canola and Mustard. India is the third largest producer of rapeseed oilseeds, attributing to 11% of the world's total production. Post edible oil extraction from these oilseeds, the residual rapeseed cake contains a high protein concentration of up to 38% with a balanced amino acid profile as well as other essential nutrients. This is a great and abundant source of protein locked inside rapeseed cakes.
We have developed a proprietary green technology to isolate CanoTein™ Rapeseed protein from these cakes. Our proprietary process isolates protein without the usage of harsh chemicals or very high temperature to ensure high quality of CanoTein™ protein isolates.
This unique process also separates anti-nutritional compounds such as phenolics, glucosinolates and phytates from the rapeseed cake and therefore enables CanoTein™ protein isolate to be nutrient high and easily digestible.
We follow a very stringent raw material sourcing process to ensure that erucic acid is less than 2% in the raw material, which is further reduced during the extraction & purification process and make CanoTein™ highly safe for human consumption. Since rapeseed oil cakes are the residual material after edible oil extraction, natural resources are not further exhausted. During the production process of CanoTein™ we recycle most of the process water.
